There are 3 steps in the enrollment process.
Step 1: Fill out the online application on the Room Rentals page and pay the application processing fee on Pay Pal.
Step 2: Go through the interview process which includes meeting at The Centre, sharing information about your practice or class; showing proof of insurance if needed for your type of work; giving a 15-20 minute session demonstrating what you do; asking questions you may have about how The Centre room rental program works.
Step 3: If approved, a final meeting will be set up to register you into the program, and go over the logistics you will need to know when you come to work. In the event, the proposed applicant is not a match, the interview processing fee will be reimbursed.
Unfortunately, the storage at The Centre is very limited so this is not possible. There is a massage table in the room, a bolster, a pillow, and blankets that can be used during your sessions.
We ask that you return the items to the closet when you are done as a courtesy to the practitioner that follows you.
No. This hourly room rental program is unique in that it gives each practitioner much flexibility and independence.
If practitioners and instructors arbitrarily come early it creates confusion, misunderstandings, and an administrative nightmare for Maile who is monitoring the comings and goings of each person that enters and exits the Centre via the security cameras and video feed.
Fortunately, there is a Starbucks, and a Peet's Coffee with free wi-fi, food, and restrooms right downstairs and across the street.
Yes. The first hour rental comes with an extra 30 minutes to allow for the client to undress and dress if that is required for the session. This is a windfall for practitioners who do not require that for their sessions.
The system is set up to discount the hourly pricing after the first hour by close to 50%, so if you add additional hours, yes the hourly pricing is discounted.
Thus, the way the system is set up, whether you set up several hour sessions in one day or one sessions with several hours, the discount is the same.
Most practitioners do not burn incense as candles are prohibited. However, if a practitioner needs to burn sage to clear the energy of the room before or after a session, they are asked to make sure the smell is cleared away when they leave.
The notice for cancellation is listed in the room rental agreement and also online as you book a session.
If proper notice is given, a credit is put on your account which the system allows you to use toward your next booking.
Credits can be used once. (This prevents a revolving cycle of cancellation and rebooking for practitioners with clients who do not honor time agreements.)
Each approved practitioner and instructor is given their own 4 digit door code. This affords each practitioner much freedom and flexibility in their practices and classes.
And, while we generally go by the honor system, there is a security camera system in The Centre that videotapes all comings and goings.
This can and does happen .
In the event a session or class takes longer than expected, practitioners and instructors leave the difference in cash or check in the white mailbox in the Intuition Cafe (the small room across from the Serenity Room)
Maile sets the pricing very reasonably and does not take kindly to abuse of the system. Repeated abuse of the system will result in retraction of renting privileges.
If he or she is already an approved and registered renting practitioner then yes. If not, no.
